There are two parts to this book. Part I of the book deals with the principles of management of acute surgical emergencies. The importance of computed tomography imaging in blunt abdominal trauma and the role of interventional radiology in acute haemorrhage; as well as peri-operative anaesthetic care of the patient requiring acute surgical management are described in Part II of the book.
