Practical Gastrointestinal Endoscopy: The Fundamentals, 6th ed. 2008

Practical Gastrointestinal Endoscopy: The Fundamentals
Peter B. Cotton, Christopher B. Williams, Robert H. Hawes, Brian P. Saunders
ISBN-10: 1405159022
ISBN-13: 978-1405159029

"Practical Gastrointestinal Endoscopy" has become the basic primer for endoscopy around the world. This new edition has been thoroughly revised and updated. Drawing on the vast experience of the authors it provides clear and practical guidance on the fundamentals of standard endoscopy practice. It describes procedures in great depth and addresses improved therapeutic techniques and advances in technology. This book is well illustrated throughout with colour line drawings and diagrams. It is an indispensable resource for all trainees in gastroenterology and an essential read for all practising endoscopists who are interested in improving their techniques. Peter B. Cotton and Christopher B. Williams are joined in this sixth edition by two new authors, Rob H. Hawes and Brian P. Saunders.

Therapy of Digestive Disorders, 2nd ed. 2006

Therapy of Digestive Disorders
M. Michael Wolfe, Gary L. Davis, Francis A. Farraye, Ralph Giannella
ISBN-10: 1416003177
ISBN-13: 978-1416003175
Saunders

With almost 100 authors and 68 chapters, this textbook provides useful information on the treatment of digestive disorders, citations of the relevant literature, and coverage of controversial issues. General physicians and also those with a particular interest in gastroenterology and hepatology will find the book helpful. My recommendation is to ignore the subtitle. Instead of being viewed as a companion to the excellent Sleisenger and Fordtran's Gastrointestinal and Liver Disease, this book could be considered a less voluminous and less expensive alternative for readers interested mainly in the treatment of digestive disorders.
